Before Fame
He spent a high school year abroad in the United States. He studied German studies, English, and history at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. He began experimenting with blogs and digital tools in the classroom during his early years as a teacher. He began podcasting and posting videos on YouTube in 2016. He appeared on major national TV programs such as Tagesschau, ZDF heute-journal, Quarks, and Markus Lanz during the COVID-19 Pandemic which helped him become more famous.
Trivia
He was Blogger of the Year at the Goldene Blogger Awards 2022. His podcast Die Schule brennt is named after a German punk rock song, but he uses the title as a metaphor for the school system being on fire and in need of major change.
