Basketball coach known for leading the Auburn University Tigers men's basketball team since joining the team in 2014. He has won over 150 games with the team and led the team to the finals of the Final Four championship in 2019. Auburn lost to University of Virginia in the finals. 

Before Fame

He went to Boston College and got his start as a coach as an assistant at Stanford University in 1982. He later worked at University of Iowa, Southern Indiana, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and University of Tennessee before joining Auburn. 

Trivia

He was the first president of the Jewish Coaches Association. He was named Coach of the Year by Sporting News in 2006 and the Adolph Rupp Cup in 2008. He was the head coach of the gold medal-winning Maccabi USA men's basketball team in the 2009 Maccabi Games.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He is Jewish. He was married to Kim Pearl from 1982 until they divorced in 2007. He married his second wife, Brandy, in 2009.

He was involved in a scandal with Aaron Craft where he invited Craft to a cookout in order to recruit him while he was in high school. He lied about the cookout and prompted an NCAA investigation.
