Originally, he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox during the 2014 MLB Draft. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas.

Trivia

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Washington Nationals on September 3, 2022. Three days later, he made his second MLB appearance pitching against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
