Before fame
He studied music in Cali at the Conservatorio Antonio María Valencia in the early 2000s. He met Carolina Núñez during his conservatory years in the mid-2000s and they performed together in small venues throughout the late 2000s. He auditioned for El Factor X with Carolina and won the competition in 2009. They used that victory in 2009 as the launchpad for Siam's professional recording career.
