English YouTube star, filmmaker, and animal welfare creator known for being behind the Cole and Marmalade YouTube channel along with being known for his Cat Man Chris YouTube channel where he shares cat rescue videos, animal welfare content, vlogs, big cat videos, and videos featuring his cats with over 900,000 subscribers.

Before fame

He has loved cats since childhood and worked for seven years as a media producer at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. He first adopted his cat Cole in 2012 after a friend found the black kitten alone near a busy intersection. He and his wife Jessica then adopted Marmalade, and he started gaining significant attention on YouTube after posting videos featuring both cats in late 2013. He started his secondary Cat Man Chris YouTube channel in August 2015 and began uploading videos in December 2015.

Trivia

He released a 2026 Cat Man Chris calendar. He won the 2014 Friskies grand prize for Marmalade's "Dumpster Kitty" video, and Cole also won the 2012 Friskies "Catness" category for "Black Cat Stick 'em Up!" He helped Marmalade become Modern Cat's Star Cat in 2015.

Family life

His real name is Chris Poole. He was born and raised in Nottingham, England, and moved to the United States in 2008. He married Jessica Josephs who has helped run his YouTube channels and website, and they have lived together with multiple cats. His cat Cole passed away in October 2021.
