Former NFL wide receiver whose career spanned from 1964 to 1977, all for the Washington Redskins. Years later, he became a coach for the same team. He stopped coaching professionally in 1993.
He was a two-time All-American at Arizona State.
He was an 8-time pro bowl selection. In 1984, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He married Patricia in 1965 and the couple had three children, Elizabeth, Erica, and Charles, Jr.
He joined the Washington Redskins as a receivers coach under head coach Joe Gibbs.
