Canadian NBA player who was a G-League success story after winning the NBA G League Most Valuable Player honor and NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year honor in 2019. He was a two-time NBA champion in back-to-back seasons for the Golden State Warriors (2018) and Toronto Raptors (2019), though he did not play in either playoffs.

Before Fame

He played soccer and ice hockey in his youth. He dropped out of high school at the age of 16 and worked in a restaurant as a cook and dishwasher. He was offered a spot on Amateur Athletic Union AAU team which helped him earn his high school diploma.


He spent time at New Mexico Junior College and Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming before transferring to the University of Oregon to play the rest of his college ball.

Family Life

At the age of five, he moved with his mom, Mary MacVane, to Montreal to see his Canadian father, Jean-Guy Boucher.

During the 2019-2020 NBA season, he became a rotation piece for Nick Nurse's Toronto Raptors roster.
