Claudio López

About

Argentine former soccer forward nicknamed "El Piojo" who won numerous league titles with clubs like Valencia CF, Club America and the Colorado Rapids during his career. He represented Argentina at the FIFA World Cup twice and won a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

Before Fame

He made his professional debut with Estudiantes de La Plata at age 16. He transferred to Racing Club de Avellaneda in 1992.

Trivia

Before the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea, he appeared in a "Secret Tournament" television commercial by Nike which was directed by Terry Gilliam.

He was born in Río Tercero, Argentina.
