Before Fame

She graduated from the University of Oregon, where she earned a degree in theater arts. She then obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of California, Irvine. Early in her career, she also worked as a faculty member in various university theater programs.

Trivia

She made her screen acting debut as Amanda in the 1989 sci-fi film Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. She has also appeared in films like Timequest and lent her voice to the Adult Swim comedy show Robot Chicken.

She was married to actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key from 1998 until their divorce in 2017.
