Before fame
He began skateboarding when he was 11 years old and learned traditional carpentry from his father and grandfather while growing up. He founded Barousse Works in July 2018 and began sharing his work and content online.

Family life
His father and grandfather introduced him to carpentry. His family has been doing woodworking for five generations. He initially operated his business from a workshop in his parents' backyard in Lafayette.
