Born Daniel Sorensen and better known by his rapper alias of "Danny Kool," this Danish hip-hop artist rose to fame during his teenage years. His self-titled debut album (released in 1999) topped 80,000 in album sales.
When he was just twelve years old, he signed with the Spin Music! recording label. Soon thereafter, he released his debut single, "Danny's Night."
His second studio album, Controls the World (released in 2000), marked the end of his youthful hip-hop career. A decade later, he became a member of an electronic band called Danny Disco and Shaman.
He and his sister Heidi Sorensen (better known as "Suriya") started a hip-hop group called Yauzers Jesper Vestergaard. With another sibling, Saseline Sorensen, Suriya formed a 1990s music group called SOAP.
He and fellow Danish rapper Natasja Saad both became famous during their teen years.
