He attended and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He then honed his skill in the culinary arts further with various individual chefs.
In 2010, he competed on the second season of the reality TV series Top Chef Masters. He competed again during its 5th season, and was eliminated on episode 9. He has gone on to own and operate various eponymous restaurants in New York City, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Chicago.
He was born and raised in Hazlet, New Jersey.
He lost to Bobby Flay during the second season of Iron Chef America.
