American visual and shape poet whose works include a 2000 collection entitled The Gates of Paradise and a 2003 work called Years. During his lifetime, his popular visual poems were displayed in art galleries on several continents.
He grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey and later moved to Berkeley, California.
His works were archived by the State University of New York at Buffalo.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey's Beth Israel Hospital.
He was a literary contemporary of fellow American author Sam Greenlee.
