Pianist, composer, performer, and social media personality known for his expressive piano performances, viral music content, and his touring show The Piano Says It Better. He is also known for the 2021 album Tides (under The Calm Piano), the 2024 single Nightmare, and the 2025 albums The Piano Says It Better and Christmas on the Keys. He is further known for his Instagram account @david_msnyder where shares a mix of piano performances, comedic music clips, and behind-the-scenes moments from his touring show.

Before fame

He began playing piano when he was around eight years old and received over a decade of classical training. He began sharing videos online in the early 2020s by initially posting piano improvisations and creative covers and interpretations of popular songs. He released his first well-known album Tides in 2021. His content and album quickly gained traction and led to him appearing on America's Got Talent in 2022.

He has been featured in outlets such as Voyage LA and Domestika. He has been a sponsored artist with the piano brand Kawai. He created The Piano Says It Better tour in late 2022 following his appearance on America's Got Talent and expanded it into a nationwide show within a couple of years. He released the album The Piano Says It Better in 2025.

Family life

He was born and raised in rural North Dakota and grew up in a large family with nine siblings. He married Amanda Snyder in January 2020.
