Formerly Desiree Hartsock, she was the 2013 Bachelorette for ABC's popular reality TV series after previously competing on the show's spin-off, The Bachelor. She has worked professionally as a wedding gown designer.
She came from humble beginnings, growing up in Colorado before moving to California where she began to work as a fashion designer and bridal stylist.
She competed on Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor and finished in 4th place partly because her brother gave Sean a tough time on their hometown date.
Her older brother is Nate Hartsock, and he is very protective of her. She married Bachelorette contestant and winner Chris Siegfried in January of 2015. They have two children.
She was interviewed by Chris Harrison several times while filming The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
