Known for her R&B albums, which include Star, Wanita, and Tak Ingin Lagi, this Brazilian-born Indonesian vocalist was the 2001 recipient of an Indonesian Music Award. Also an actress and model, she appeared in a soap opera called Nada Cinta.
Her debut album, Kurasakan, was released in 1998 to mediocre reviews; her second recording, Tak Ingin Lagi, was much more popular with critics.
She hosted the 2008 season of the Indonesian Idol reality television talent competition.
She was born to an English father and a Southeast Asian mother. Between 2000 and 2011, she was married three times: to actor Surya Seputra, vocalist Glenn Fredly, and Agus Rahman.
She and her East Asian contemporary, Malaysian vocalist Siti Nurhaliza, both had successful music careers.
