Journalist turned politician who first became known for hosting the news segment on Vanidades TV. She would later join politics, becoming the deputy mayor of Guayaquil, the largest city in Ecuador.
She was only nineteen years old when she began her television career. She would later launch her career in politics in 2002 when she was elected Councilor of Guayaquil.
She is the first woman to hold the position of deputy mayor in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
She married Heinz Moeller Gómez after the tragic death of her first husband, Rodrigo Campos Armijos. She has three children, Rodrigo, Lorenzo, and Domenica.
Both she and Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa were born in Guayaquil.
