Politician and banker who began serving in 2013 as third Governor-General of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. He had previously founded the successful St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank in the same Caribbean/West Indies region.
He studied economics at the University of London, graduating in 1966.
He was a founder of CARICOM, a Caribbean-based bank association.
With his wife, Hulda Lawrence, he raised six children.
He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his service to the financial industry.
