Known for his role in Stampede Wrestling in Canada, he was a member of the well-known Anoa'i wrestling family; signature finishing move was the snap dragon suplex; suffered a heart attack in the ring on January 7, 2000.
He won the 1980 Montana state high school championship in wrestling, before heading to the University of Nebraska, where he set state records.
He performed for All Japan Pro Wrestling from 1995 to 1999, and in 1996 he won the AJPW Unified World Tag team Championship.
He had three children with his wife Monica Anoa'i.
He was a member of the Anoa'i wrestling family, along with The Rock.
