Politician who is known for having served as the Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Fisheries. He is also known for having served as a Member of the Legislative Council in Bihar as well as a Member of Parliament for Lok Sabha.

He attended Magadh University where he graduated in 1971. He started gaining attention for his political career in 2005 when he served in the government of Bihar.

He married Uma Sinha and together they have a daughter.
