Japanese chef, entrepreneur, producer, photographer, and content creator known for being the co-founder of the restaurant collective WAGYUMAFIA. He is also known for sharing wagyu dishes, restaurant content, chef collaborations, travel posts, and behind-the-scenes culinary videos on Instagram with over 360,000 followers and on TikTok with over 30,000 followers.
Before fame
He began cooking with his mother when he was 3 years old. He worked in the film industry for 15 years before a 2007 visit to a wagyu farm inspired him to promote authentic Japanese beef around the world.
Trivia
He is a self-taught chef. He and WAGYUMAFIA received La Liste's 2025 Show-to-Table Special Award in 2024. He co-founded WAGYUMAFIA with Takafumi Horie and the brand held its first pop-up in Kyoto's Gion district in March 2016.
