Irish composer, pianist, and songwriter known for his viral hit songs "Solas" along with songs "Into the West," "Réalta," "Rising," "Torus," "For the Moon," and "Púca." He is also known for his 2025 debut album Jamie Duffy.
Before fame
He was exposed to live performance and melody at a young age and began learning piano as a child. He moved to Belfast, Ireland to study International Relations and Politics at Queen's University Belfast. He supported himself while in university by working as a pianist in hotels and venues. He began sharing piano performances and original compositions online during this time in the late 2010s into the early 2020s. He wrote the short instrumental piece "Solas" in January 2022 which became his breakout song after he shared it online and it went viral. He continued releasing singles and then released his debut EP On a Wing in 2024. He released his debut album Jamie Duffy in October 2025.

He composed his first feature film score for the movie 500 Miles starring Bill Nighy and Maisie Williams. His 2025 album Jamie Duffy was produced by BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated composer Atli Örvarsson. His music is inspired by Ludovico Einaudi and Enya.
Family life
He was born and raised in the small village of Glaslough in County Monaghan, Ireland. He comes from a musical family, with grandparents who were involved in Irish showbands and local music communities.
