Jeff McNeil

American-born infielder and outfielder who was drafted in 12th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the New York Mets. In 2019, he made his first career All-Star game appearance as an outfielder for the National League team.

Before Fame

In high school, he played baseball, basketball and golf. Though he was drafted to play professional baseball, he didn't play until his senior year because he preferred to play golf during the spring season. 

Trivia

He was first called up to the New York Mets major league roster on July 24, 2018. During that same night, he recorded his first career hit against Phil Hughes, who was playing with the San Diego Padres at the time. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in the Santa Barbara, California area, along with his younger brother Ryan, who is also a professional baseball player.

He hit his first career Major League home run on July 31, 2018 in a matchup against Tanner Roark and the Washington Nationals.
