Retired Major League Baseball player best known for his days with teams like the Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals. He is perhaps most famous for his involvement in the famous "bat flip" play against the Yankees in the 2001 ALDS.
He played at Cal State Fullerton, where he won the 1995 College World Series.
In 2005, he admitted to having used anabolic steroids during his career and was later named in the infamous Mitchell report on steroid use in baseball.
His older brother is fellow MLB player Jason Giambi.
He won a College World Series alongside teammate and future MLB player Mark Kotsay at Cal State Fullerton.
