Before Fame
He discovered his love for performing while participating in theater at Apple Valley High School, where he starred in numerous productions. He went on to attend the North Carolina School of the arts before he moved to New York, where he launched his professional career in a Broadway revival of Tartuffe before advancing through regional and Off-Broadway theater.

In 2015, he received an Indie Series Award nomination for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy for his work in Wallflowers.
