Jorge Gelpí Pagán

Journalist, news writer, and reporter who is primarily known for his work with the organization WAPA Televisión in Puerto Rico. In the year 2019, he was named anchor of the morning news edition Noticentro Al Amanecer at WAPA TV.

Before fame

He graduated from Escuela Superior Josefa Vélez Bauzá High School with a medal of High Honor.

Trivia

In March 2023, he shaved his head to raise funds for children with cancer via the Fundación CAP. In December 2020, he revealed that hackers had stolen his identity online to create fake posts. His reporting has been nominated for regional Suncoast Emmy Awards.

Family life

He and his wife Mariela have a daughter named Marielena.
