Democratic politician and, from 2003 to 2012, a twenty-second district member of the Maryland House of Delegates. During his time in the House, he served on both the Ways and Means and Legislative Data Systems Committees.
A Prince George County, Maryland high school wrestling champion, he went on to earn a degree in government from the University of Maryland, College Park.
While pursuing politics, he also worked in real estate brokerage.
He and his wife, Nancy, became parents to two sons and one daughter.
He and fellow Democrat Mark Shriver both served in the Maryland House of Delegates during the first decade of the 21st Century.
