Canadian model, fashion editor, and entrepreneur best known for using her platform to advocate for size-inclusion and LGBTQ+ representation in the fashion industry. She is the founder of the plus-size clothing brand Henning, which is designed specifically for women size 12 and up. She made history in 2025 when she became the first out lesbian and the first person of Chinese descent to star solo on the cover of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Before Fame
She attended the University of Western Ontario, where she studied sociology and graduated in 2012. She initially intended to pursue a career in basketball; however, a ruptured appendix caused her trajectory to shift, and she began considering a future in fashion.
Trivia
After graduating from college, she relocated to New York City, where she signed with Ford Models as a plus-size model. She later worked as a fashion-features editor for Glamour magazine before resigning in 2018 to launch her brand, Henning. She has been honored with numerous accolades throughout her career including the title of Chatelaine magazine's Woman of the Year and the Canadian Arts and Fashion Award for Model of the Year. She has also earned placement on coveted lists such as Toronto Life's 50 Most Influential Canadians and Marie Claire's 2023 Power List.
Family Life
She was born to a Chinese father and Armenian mother. In 2025, she married her partner, film director Hayley Kosan.
