She earned a bachelor's of political science with a minor in history from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Outside of her work as a pageant queen and model, she is the owner and designer of the luxury swimwear brand Vizcaya Swimwear, founder of the blog Lady Code, and a host for PageantLIVE.

Her boyfriend, Franz Orban, is the co-owner of Vizcaya Swimwear.
