Known for Vamos A Jugar, Cantan Corridos, and other Platinum and multi-Platinum albums, this Spanish-language pop singer recorded numerous love ballads and Mariachi songs. He is perhaps most famous for his 1987 hit, "Doce Rosas."
He began his music career at the age of twelve, becoming the champion of a Latin American talent competition called 1er Festival Juguemos A Cantar.
Before signing with Warner Music, he briefly studied at the University of New Mexico.
He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to a family of Mexican origin. His four sisters, Verónica, Rosamaria, Kristyna, and Carolina, were, from the start of his career, his musical collaborators.
His 1994 hit song, "Como Cuando Y Porque," was written by Mexican singer and songwriter Juan Gabriel.
