Before Fame
He had various jobs as a kid and teenager, including working as a microbus fare collector and selling snacks. He enrolled in industrial engineering at the Universidad Nacional del Callao after he graduated high school. He left the program when he developed a passion for acting and wanted to pursue an acting career. He trained in theater workshops led by producer and director Roberto Ángeles. He made his onscreen debut with the short film El disfraz in 2014. His breakout came with being cast on Luz de luna in 2021.

He has appeared in several stage productions, including El pingüino, the Peruvian staging of Cock, and Sobrevivir a los Andes, in which he portrayed survivor Carlos Páez Rodríguez in a fictional adaptation of the 1972 Andes flight disaster. He performed as Batman in the micro-play Superwash. He has occasionally co-hosted and has cohosted on TV Perú's show Que gane el mejor.

His full name is Luis José Ocampo. He was born in Lurigancho-Chosica, in the province of Lima, Peru. He grew up in a middle-class family.
