Teenage girl who was fatally shot by police officer Nicholas Reardon in April 2021. Body cam footage was released that showed the incident in full. Her death incited anger and protests from Black Lives Matter supporters across the United States.

Before Fame

She attended Canal Winchester High School until 2020, followed by Trotwood-Madison schools and Independence High School. She was living in foster care with Franklin County Children's Service when she passed away.

Trivia

Her dance and hair TikToks gained attention from the public in the wake of her death. Her shooting was deemed a justifiable homicide as it prevented her from stabbing another girl. 

Family Life

Many of her family members have spoken out after her passing, including her grandmother Debra Wilcox and her cousin Don Bryant.

Associated With

The killing of George Floyd in 2020 also sparked awareness of the Black Lives Matter movement.
