Most famous for co-founding the Little Caesars pizza chain alongside her husband Mike Ilitch, she also became co-owner of Ilitch Holdings, Inc., the company that owns the MLB's Detroit Tigers and the NHL's Detroit Red Wings.
The first Little Caesars pizza restaurant opened in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, in the spring of 1959.

She and Mike, were both born to Macedonian parents. Their marriage resulted in seven children: Christopher, Denise, Ron, Michael, Lisa, Carole, and Atanas.
