About

Entrepreneur, author, and educator who built an empire of over 80,000 subscribers with her self-titled YouTube channel's DIY Microlocs tutorials before stepping away from her 20-year dedication to the beauty industry at the end of 2024. She co-founded the Breslin Jewelry Co. She has also hosted an eponymous, self-improvement-themed podcast and she has coached countless professionals through her platform Marquetta Mentors. 

Before Fame

She served in the United States military for over 8 years, during which time she worked as an Air Force staff sergeant. She later decided to enter the cosmetology industry and continue to advance the wig making skill she had initially developed to help her mother while she was undergoing cancer treatment.

Trivia

In 2022, she established the American Wig Association - an organization to help cancer patients and other individuals experiencing hair loss connect with wig makers. She has authored numerous books including Million Dollar Stylist, Fully Booked, and What They Don't Teach You in Cosmetology School.
