Brazilian writer and journalist who is best known for her work as a weekly columnist for the magazine Zero Hora and the O Globo newspaper. She is also known for having published several books including Non Stop in 2000 and Couch in 2002.
She graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre. She then started her career as a journalist for the Zero Hora magazine.
In addition to her work in journalism, she is also a world-renowned poet who has published several books of poetry including Meia Noite e em Quarto and Topless.
She was born and raised in Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and is the daughter of Jose Bernardo Barreto de Medeiros.
Her poem A Morte Devagar is often wrongly attributed to be the work of famed poet and romantic Pablo Neruda.
