Matěj Kovář

About

Former teenage soccer sensation who primarily plays the position of goalkeeper. He signed his first professional club contract with Manchester United in 2020. He was later acquired by AC Sparta Prague via loan transfer in September 2022. 

Before Fame

He initially began his youth soccer career with the Czech-based club 1. FC Slovácko. He also played for the Czech youth national team.

Trivia

While playing with Sparta Prague, he helped his club win the 2022 Czech First League championship, which was the team's first title in almost a decade. Due to his amazing season, he was named "Goalkeeper of the Year." 

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his family in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. He and his family then moved to the Manchester, England area.
