Former college football quarterback and sports media personality known for playing quarterback at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2013 to 2016 and at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017, along with having been one of the most highly rated high school quarterback recruits of his generation. He is also known for his work on ESPN as a college football analyst along with his social media presence, where he uses Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok under the handle under @brownemax to interview athletes, break down football moments, and discuss other football topics.
Before fame
He attended Skyline High School where he became one of the most decorated quarterbacks in high school football history. He graduated from Skyline High School in 2013.and went on to play for USC. He was named USC's starting quarterback entering the 2016 season. He transferred to the University of Pittsburgh for the 2017 season. He suffered a serious shoulder injury during his 2017 season at the University of Pittsburgh that required surgery and ultimately ended his college football career. He began pivoting into sports media and analysis in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. He joined ESPN as a college football analyst in 2023.
Trivia
He received his first college scholarship offer when he was just 14 years old. He was named USA Today High School Player of the Year in 2012 and Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2013.
Family life
He was born and raised in Sammamish, Washington. He married former USC volleyball player and mental health advocate Victoria Garrick in August 2022.
