Dramatic actor best known for playing the shotgun-bearing street thug Omar Little on HBO's The Wire. He also played Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire and Bobby McCray in the mini-series When They See Us. He's appeared in such films as 12 Years a Slave, The Road, Kill the Messenger, Inherent Vice and Ghostbusters.

Before Fame

He worked as a dancer, appearing in music videos and on tours with Madonna and George Michael.


He made his first acting appearance as the on-screen brother of Tupac Shakur in the 1996 film Bullet.

Family Life

He was born to an African-American father and a Bahamian mother. He has a son named Elijah.
