Canadian film actor from the 1920s and 1940s era who starred in many films including 1925's The Only Thing and 1933's Alice in Wonderland. He played Riley in the 1931 film, Iron Man.
He left home at age sixteen to be a gold prospector in the Klondike Gold Rush. He later won a singing spot in a musical company's tour and eventually appeared in Toronto theatre roles.

He was married to Mercedes Cabalerro from 1931 to 1936.
