Most well known for his portrayal of Will Hackett on the popular British soap opera Hollyoaks, he is also notable for his role as Andy Carver on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
He studied acting at the famous Bristol Old Vic Theatre. Before making his soap opera debut, he was featured in several episodes of the ITV medical series The Royal.
His professional stage credits include productions of Holding the Man (on London's West End), Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (at Yorkshire's Harrogate Theatre), and The Merchant of Venice (in Kent, England).
He spent his childhood and early teen years in West Yorkshire, England, and his late teens in Devon.
In 2014, he portrayed refugee Florian Dupont in the Andrew Davies series Mr. Selfridge.
