Hispanic politician and Democrat who represented the 80th District of Texas in the House of Representatives from 1961 to 1967. He was also the President of the League of United Latin American Citizens in the mid 1950's.
He was a staff sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps before getting his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in Houston.
He was appointed to the National Transportation Safety Board by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
He was married to Elsa Gonzalez with one son and one daughter.
He was succeeded by Vidal Manuel Trevino.
