Papua New Guinean politician who became the nation's Prime Minister in 2012. He was first elected to Parliament in 2002 and was the Minister for Finance for several months in 2012.
He graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea and worked as a businessman before entering politics.
As Prime Minister he established Repentance Day as a new public holiday on August 26th in his country.
His father was an Australian Magistrate.
He and Paias Wingti have both served as Prime Minister in Papua New Guinea.
