Distinguished Canadian actor of the stage and screen whose extensive resume includes award-winning stage performances in the lead roles of productions such as Hamlet, Hedda Gabler, The Crucible, and Richard III. Before Fame
He graduated from the University of Toronto/Sheridan College Theatre & Drama Studies program and attended the Soulpepper Academy. He also trained as an International Actor Fellow of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, England. He went on to make his on-screen acting debut in a 2010 episode of the television sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie.
Trivia
Among his many career accolades, he received the John Hirsch Memorial and Richard Monette Awards at the Stratford Festival. He earned a Toronto Theatre Award for Outstanding Lead Performance for his portrayal of Eric Glass in The Inheritance Parts 1 & 2. He has also received honors from venues such as the Broadway World Awards and Dora Mavor Moore.
Family Life
In a 2024 interview with The Toronto Star, he revealed that losing his father at age 12 gave him a personal connection to the role of Hamlet.
