Mixed martial artist and Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor who held the Bellator MMA Middleweight World Championship and was once ranked the number four middleweight fighter in the world. He was also the first non-Brazilian to win the Brasileiros at black belt and the first athlete to achieve the black belt "Grand Slam," winning all major Brazilian jiu-jitsu championships in a single year.

Before Fame

He is the child of a Jeet Kune Do teacher, and trained in several martial arts during his youth. He discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of 13.

Trivia

He began his professional MMA career in September 2014 and made his Bellator debut in March 2017, defeating Charles Hackmann by TKO just 13 seconds into the first round.
