Neurophysiologist from England who taught Oculomotor Physiology at the University of Cambridge. He published his first book, Movements of the Eyes, in 1988.
He served as the director of medical studies at Caius College before accepting a teaching position at Cambridge.
His research work focused on the mechanisms of decision-making.
He studied in his youth at Gresham's School in Holt, Norfolk, England.
He and Ralph Gerard were both well known 20th Century neurophysiologists.
