She is also the author of the viral essay "I'm a 37-Year-Old Mom & I Spent Seven Days Online as an 11-Year-Old Girl. Here's What I Learned."

Before Fame

She began writing online with a focus on child welfare and human-rights topics in 2010. She published her online essay "I'm a 37-Year-Old Mom & I Spent Seven Days Online as an 11-Year-Old Girl. Here's What I Learned" which went viral in December 2019. She founded her nonprofit Safe from Online Sex Abuse in 2020. She released the first season of her docuseries Undercover Underage in 2021, with season two being released in 2023.

She has been an advisor to Spectrum Labs with a focus on advocating for safety with AI. She has worked with several companies to use AI to detect toxic behavior online.
