Sarah Martin

About

Best known as a violinist and singer for a Scotland-based Indie pop group called Belle and Sebastian, she also played several other instruments, including the flute and recorder, on various Belle & Sebastian tracks.

Before Fame

She became a member of Belle & Sebastian right before the 1996 release of the band's second album, If You're Feeling Sinister.

Trivia

She wrote such Belle & Sebastian songs as "Storytelling," "Nothing in the Silence," and "Waiting for the Moon to Rise."

Family Life

She grew up on the western coast of England, in the town of Blackburn, Lancashire.
