Shagufta Ejaz

About

Actress most celebrated for her performance in the 1990 television serial Aanch. She has appeared in many additional serials including Wafa Girah, Silsilay, and Bebasi. She has also worked in both Urdu and Punjabi films, such as Kalay Chor and Sajawal Daku. She is the founder of the Karachi-based salon "Envy," and in 2022, she walked in the Kashee Beauty Salon Bridal Festive fashion showcase.

Before Fame

She never initially had intentions of becoming a performer and her introduction to acting was entirely by chance. She was visiting friends at the PTV headquarters when Kazim Pasha, director of the popular serial Jangloos, noticed her and offered her the leading role. 

Trivia

For her performance in the teledrama Mere Qatil Mere Dildar, she earned Best Supporting Actress at the 2013 Hum Awards. Her acting fame has led her to garner over 800,000 followers on her shaguftaejazofficial Instagram page. 

Family Life

She is married to her husband Yahya Siddiqui, with whom she has 4 daughters - Haya Ali, Anya Ali, Nabiha Ali, and Eeman Ali as well as 1 son named Hassan Ali.

She played the leading role of Mehru in the 2006 TV series Makan Aka Home a Heaven, along with co-stars Bushra Ansari, Fahad Mustafa, and Saira Khan.
