After playing his college career for Stanford, this football linebacker joined the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent. He also played briefly for the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After winning state and regional high school football titles with his Trinity Pawling prep school team, he was recruited by Boston College, Duke, and Northwestern University, but made the decision to attend Stanford.
During his sophomore season at Stanford, he made twelve tackles and three sacks to defeat Virginia Tech at the Orange Bowl.
The child of Peter and Terri Skov, he grew up with a brother named Patrick. He spent his early days in San Francisco, California and Guadalajara, Mexico, and his high school years in Pawling, New York.
He and NFL cornerback Richard Sherman both played for Stanford.
