Before Fame
She studied at the Conservatorio de Musica do Porto in Oporto, Portugal. She then went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She then worked as an understudy from 2007 until 2008 at the West End and made her debut with The Phantom of the Opera in 2009.

She won the Best Actress in a Musical award at the Whatsonstage Theatergoers Choice Awards for her work in a production of West Side Story.

She was born and raised in Guimaraes in Braga, Portugal and married Spanish actor Gonzalo Ramos in September of 2013.
